SUMMER POSITIONS: PART-TIME ASSISTANT ART TEACHERS

You don't need to be an artist for this role but you must truly get a kick out of making a mess while doing your best and believe kids should get messy too!

We have Summer, part-time openings for enthusiastic people to help spread our passion for art education. Kidcreate Studio Wilmington is a fast-growing, woman-owned mobile art business. This is a Summer position, with the potential to carry forward into the Fall.

Note, our shift times vary each week -  there is no set schedule or number of hours guaranteed. 

Candidates in Andover, North Andover, Reading, Lynnfield, Tewksbury and Wilmington are preferred.

This Summer, part-time art teacher's assistant position may be a perfect job for high school students, college students, daycare providers, and caregivers. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • You must be 17 years of age or older.
  • You must have access to a vehicle as classes take place in a variety of locations.
  • You must be willing to drive to different locations to assist with art education classes (generally within a 15 mile range of Wilmington, MA).
  • You must be available between 3-5 pm, Monday through Friday and on weekends. During the summer months (late June-August), you must be available from 8:30-4 pm. 
  • You must be comfortable working with kids ages 18-months to 12 years. 
  • You must be able to help manage students during art classes and camps.
  • You must be enthusiastic, reliable, punctual, creative, and love working with kids.
  • You must be willing to take a state background/CORI check.

ABOUT KIDCREATE STUDIO WILMINGTON
Kidcreate Studio Wilmington is a mobile art studio specializing in children's art classes, camps, and art-themed birthday parties for Wilmington and the surrounding communities. Our mobile art classes are a great way to introduce children to the beautiful world of art through their local school, church, daycare, or recreation center! We provide a positive, self-esteem-building environment for children to explore the visual arts. Children get messy with paint, clay, and many other art materials! Weekly classes, camps, workshops, and homeschool classes are age-specific and are tailored to provide each student with the curriculum that suits them best. 

While we specialize in art classes for kids from 18-months to 12 years old, we are equally excited to offer classes to groups of creative teens, adults and seniors, because making a fridge-worthy masterpiece, learning art concepts, and creating art is fun at any age!

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
